Help support the return of mining in rural Arizona

Mining for Rural Arizona?
By Shirley Dye

On Thursday night, May 5th,  Rod Pace, CEO of Rosemont Copper, will share his struggles with the US Forest Service. Pace will talk about the USFS preventing 3,000 mining and supplemental jobs from opening up in the Santa Rita Mountains southwest of Tucson.
Though this mine is quite far from Payson, there are other Gila County mining operations involved in similar bureaucratic struggles.  A bipartisan group of people from all political bents are actively seeking support for the return of mining as an economic engine for rural Arizona.
Please attend this meeting from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Tiny's Restaurant on Highway 260 in Payson and see what you can do to help in this endeavor.  This meeting will be held during the regular Payson Tea Party meeting but all are encouraged to attend.
