Three arrested - face burglary, possession and trafficking in stolen items, and drug charges
On Monday, April 11th, Payson Police officers responded to a prowler call where the suspect, Steven Grant Crane, 30, was detained after being found in the residence.
Officers discovered that another person, Paul Leneberg, 31, was involved with Crane in burglarizing the residence where Crane was located.
Later that morning, Leneberg and Racheal Meagher, 26, were contacted and arrested at a retail store in Payson when Leneberg attempted to sell some of the stolen items.
Following the arrest, a search warrant was served on Leneberg and Meagher’s residence at 404 W Jones in Payson.
Detectives located several items from the burglary as well as items from two additional burglaries they were investigating. Leneberg was charged with burglary, possession of stolen property, trafficking in stolen property and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Crane was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, burglary and possession of stolen property.
Meagher was charged with possession of stolen property and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Leneberg is also a suspect in the burglary and theft of items from the Payson Roundup and Garden of Eden retail store that occured last month.
The investigation is ongoing as detectives are following up on information obtained from the scene as well as from the evidence gathered. Additional charges are pending.
