Carole Mathewson has spent hundreds of hours researching and writing a novel about her ancestor’s, Harley and Mary Mathewson and the Civil War, and sharing her labor of love, frustration, and accomplishment with us with weekly readings.
She has been invited to make a presentation to the Genealogical Society. What a compliment to her and her efforts to bring yet another view of the horrible, atrocious war that took thousands and thousands of lives and literally destroyed the lives of the survivors, tore families apart and destroyed their property.
Carole Mathewson will present her story Thursday, May 5 at 1:30pm at the Northern Gila County Genealogical Society, 302 E. Bonita Street in Payson.
