5,500 head of cattle displaced, lost or otherwise impacted by the state's wildfires
According to the Arizona Cattle Growers Association (ACGA), 5,500 head of cattle have been displaced, lost or otherwise impacted by the wildfires burning across the state.
A website has been set up by the ACGA through a donation from the Rosemont Copper Company to accept donations to help these ranchers feed their cattle.
At a cost of $300 per ton of hay (including the cost of delivering it), feeding three head a day from a three-string bale, costs $27,510 a day to feed all the 5,500 head of cattle.
To donate to help Arizona ranchers who have been effected by the wildfires, go to http://www.azbaleout.org .
