Navajo Police Sergeant shot in the line of duty Saturday, June 25, responding to domestic dispute
Governor Jan Brewer has ordered the flags at state offices to be lowered to half staff on Saturday, July 2, 2011 from sunrise to sunset to honor Sgt Darrell Curley who was shot in the line of duty on Saturday, June 25, 2011.
Navajo Police Sergeant Darrell Cervanez Curley was shot while responding to a domestic dispute between two brothers in the small town of Kaibito just south of Page, Arizona, on the reservation. He was transported to a hospital in Page where he died early Sunday morning.
The funeral for Sgt Curley is scheduled for 10:00 AM NN time (9:00 AM Arizona time) in the town of Chinle, Arizona.
Individuals, businesses, and other organizations are encouraged to join in this tribute.
