Residents invited on the "Night to Unite" to hold a neighborhood block party
The Payson Police Department is encouraging all residents of Payson to join them in celebrating National Night Out by holding a block party in your neighborhood on Tuesday, August 2. It is America's Night Out Against Crime and Payson's "Night to Unite" to keep our neighborhood's safe.
You don’t have to live in a neighborhood of single family homes to be involved in a block party. Block parties can be held in many places besides traditional neighborhoods. The police department is also encouraging residents of townhouse complexes, apartment buildings, or mobile home parks to join in this crime fighting effort.
If you are interested in hosting a block party that will send a message to criminals that your neighborhood is organized and fighting back, contact Charlene Brown at the Payson Police Department, 474-5242, ext 220 or email cbrown@paysonaz.gov or stop by the department at 303 N. Beeline and pick up a registration packet.
