Body of missing 28-year old Nathaniel Ross found at Horseshoe Bend


Body discovered July 7 by CCSO Search and Rescue 500 feet over edge of lookout area

On Monday, July 11, Page Police were notified by the Coconino County Medical Examiner’s Office that the autopsy performed on the body that was discovered at Horseshoe Bend was positively identified as 28 year-old Nathaniel Ross of LeChee. Ross was originally reported as a missing person on June 20, 2011, the same day that his vehicle was located in the Horseshoe Bend parking area by a family member.

He was last seen in the area of Navajo Drive in Page on June 19.

The body was discovered on July 7 by a Coconino County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue team member who had descended 400’-500’ down over edge of the lookout area at Horseshoe Bend.

The Medical Examiner’s Office is still conducting their investigation into the cause of death pending results from the autopsy.
