Fire Activity:  
Firefighters monitored the perimeter of the Bull Flat Fire today and continued mop-up on the northeast section where the last burnout operation was conducted. Construction of erosion control barriers to rehabilitate dozer lines continues. The Eastern Arizona Team is preparing to turn back responsibility for the fire area to local authorities on Sunday night. Demobilization of excess personnel and equipment will continue through Monday.

  • The Tonto National Forest Temporary Area Closure for the Bull Flat Fire will remain in effect as posted, until further notice.
  • Both the Tonto National Forest and the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest have implemented Stage 1 Fire Restrictions.
