SSG Richard L. Berry of Scottsdale died in Afghanistan from wounds suffered from an IED
Governor Brewer has ordered that flags
at all state office buildings be lowered to half-staff from sunrise to
sunset on Tuesday, August 14, 2012, in honor of SSG Richard L. Berry, of
Scottsdale, Arizona. SSG Berry died July 22nd in Kandahar,
Afghanistan, of wounds suffered from an improvised explosive device. He
was assigned to the A Company, 508th Special Troops Battalion, 4th
Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
SSG Berry's interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery on Tuesday, August 14, 2012.
