Hi there everyone,
Hope you are having a good morning.  The Kiwanis meeting this morning was eventful, unfortunately not good news for many members. The most serious news I can share is about Greg Day, Macky's owner, chef, and bottle-washer.

In recent days Greg was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor (size of a orange) on his kidney; the tumor and kidney are being removed.  Through his physical, tests and x-rays, doctors also found spots of cancer throughout his lungs.  This is terrible news and much treatment is expected.  The Kiwanis Club of Zane Grey is establishing an account at National Bank of Arizona to assist the family with the medical deductible they will be required to meet.

I hope you can pass along this news to the Southwest Behavioral Community, Payson Unified School District, Payson Area Habitat for Humanity and others to kindly support them in this serious time of need.  The goal is to provide $10,000 (100 people to contribute $100) to the Day Family Fund in the immediate days and weeks.  Any amount is appreciated and several pledges of $100 are already received; however, much more is needed.  Many of you know that the Day family is a family that believes in children, schools, church and community and it is our time to dig deep to help them.  They have sponsored, supported, and campaigned for programs and services in the Payson community and I hope that people who know the Day's are moved by this  event.

Please, please pass on this message to friends of yours who will share inspiration, support and prayers for the Day family.  Continue to patronize Macky's Grill often.  Many more announcements will be coming through other media and special events will be arranged in future weeks.

Thank you for your consideration and forward this information on to others.  Facebook, Twitter, email ~ Let's put these tools to work!
God bless you~
Cris Royer
