Three Star Valley residents arrested on drug charges; search of residence turns up stolen goods
On Wednesday, April 13 at 3:06 p.m., Payson Police Officer Jesse Davies conducted a traffic stop on East Highway 260. The stop led to the arrest of two people in the vehicle on a variety of drug charges.
Alec Bolotin, 42, the driver of the vehicle, was arrested for driving suspended, aggravated DUI, possession of dangerous drugs for sale, transportation of dangerous drugs for sale, possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and use of a dangerous drug and marijuana.
Stephen Cotton, 25, a passenger in the vehicle was arrested for use of dangerous drugs and marijuana. Cotton is currently on probation in Gila County. Bolotin and Cotton were booked into the Gila County Jail.
As a result of the traffic stop the Payson Police Special Enforcement Unit served a search warrant on Bolotin’s residence in Star Valley.
The search warrant resulted in the seizure of drug paraphernalia and dangerous drugs. Additionally the officers recovered a stolen utility trailer and air compressor. Both items were stolen from separate residences in Star Valley.

April Moody-Kirkendall, 42, was arrested at the residence and booked into the Gila County Jail on charges of use of a dangerous drug and possession of drug paraphernalia. She also had an outstanding warrant for her arrest out of Yavapai County.
