Three-year-old boy missing at Pine Trailhead

Sheriff's deputies, Forest Service rangers, Tonto Search and Rescue, DPS Helicopter join search for missing toddler

A three year old boy went missing from a camp out at Pine Trailhead Friday.
At approximately 8:30 pm on 5-13-11, the Gila County Sheriff's Office received a call in regards to a three year old who did not return to camp at dark after playing with other kids.
The reporting party said the kids were playing in a creek bottom near the Pine Trailhead and were to return at dark and the child did not come back with the others.
The family started searching for the child and when they could not locate him, they called the Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff's Office Deputies along with Forest Service Law Enforcement responded to the scene.  Tonto Rim Search and Rescue was called to the search area along with DPS' Ranger Helicopter and are currently searching for the missing child.
