Payson's July 4th Weekend Activities
Friday, July 1 ~ First Friday on Historic Main Street features music, food and shopping at unique shops and galleries from 5 to 8 p.m.
Saturday, July 2 ~ Payson Farmers Market in the Sawmill Theatre Parking Lot (behind Chili's) 8 a.m. to Noon.
Start your 4th of July weekend Saturday morning at the Payson Farmers Market. Offering fresh local produce; natural, Grass Fed Beef; Handmade, ready to cook Tamales, Italian Food and all the rest of your favorites. Enjoy breakfast & fresh pastries while you listen to soft rock by Roger Williams.
31st Annual 4th of July Arts & Crafts Festival, Pine Community Center, Highway 87 and Randall Place in Pine Saturday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, July 3, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.Summer Concert Series (free) 7 to 9 p.m. Green Valley Park ~ Enjoy free live entertainment and stroll among the food vendors at the Summer Concert Series in Green Valley Park from 7 to 9 p.m. The Terry McFee Orchestra offers music for dancing or just listening that includes fox trots, ballads, waltzes, swing tunes, big band hits, polkas and more. Enjoy dancing with the stars (overhead, that is). Bring your lawn chairs for easy listening.
Sunday, July 3 ~ Payson Pro Rodeo Committee sponsors the First Annual Chili Cook Off at the Payson Event Center. Participants will provide chili in one of two categories, People's Choice (which does not limit ingredients) and Casi Sanctioned Red Chili (beef and spices only). $4 buys a cup, a spoon and a ticket to vote for People's Choice. Tasting begins at 11 a.m. Award ceremony at 4 p.m. Event includes wine tasting provided by Southern Wine and Spirits of Arizona.
Monday, July 4 ~
Green Valley Park activities include a Ceremonial Flag Raising and Patriotic Salute to the men and women who have made this a free country. Starts at 8 a.m. Sponsored by the Payson Patriotic Events Committee
Children's Games from 1 to 4 p.m.
Live Music by The Higher Power Band starting at 5:30 p.m.
Fireworks starting at 9 p.m.
Park at the Payson High School parking lot on McLane off Longhorn and ride the free shuttle to the park.
