NOTE:
- Alpine community lost a one-axle trailer and an out building. A Verizon tower and a radio repeater were damaged.
- Blue River residents are being evacuated by Greenlee County officials and are being housed at the Reserve fairgrounds.
- There are no pending evacuation orders for Springerville and Eagar residents at this time. Residents are asked to remain prepared in the event an order is needed.
- A community meeting is being held tonight at the Round Valley Middle School in Eagar at 6 p.m.
Fire Activity: The fire remains active and 15-20 mph with gusts of 30 mph again today. Warmer temperatures are expected. The fire crossed Hwy 191 at the Campbell Blue River. The fire made was a 10-15 mile run to the northeast yesterday. The fire is currently at the edge of Alpine.
Closures/Evacuations/Advisories: Apache County Emergency Management (ACEM) issued an evacuation order of the communities of Alpine and Nutrioso. ACEM will make the decision when the order will be lifted.
Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests Fire Restrictions: A Temporary Emergency Closure Order for the Apache National Forest has been issued today, June 3 at 12:00 p.m. (noon). Due to extreme fire conditions, the Apache National Forest is closed to all public entry. Property owners and their guests will continue to have access to private lands within the Forest.
