Wallow Fire now at 511,118 acres - Residents of Luna, New Mexico evacuated 3:15 p.m. Saturday, June 18
On Saturday, June 18, air resources defending Luna, New Mexico, had to be cancelled due to high winds and Luna residents were evacuated at 3:15 p.m.
Air support began again early Sunday morning, the following day, but will most likely be grounded later in the day due to continued high winds.
Evacuations remain in effect for residents of Sunrise, Greer, and Blue River, but were lifted Saturday for residents of Alpine.
Community meetings taking place Monday, June 20 at 6 p.m. are as follows:
Tribal Council Chambers, White River, Arizona
Round Valley High School hosted by the Apache Sitgreaves National Forest
