Flagstaff child found safe in Phoenix, father arrested for custodial interference

Child, missing since September 2010,  will be returned to mother who has custody

Flagstaff, AZ – On September 16, 2011 around 3:00 pm Coconino County Sheriff’s Detectives received notification from the Phoenix Police Department that Robert Leland Morse, 40,  was located and taken into custody.  Morse was wanted for custodial interference after he had taken his two-year-old daughter from a residence in Flagstaff.

The Phoenix Police Department had received a tip that Morse was living in an apartment complex near 17th Ave and Montebello.  He was cooperative and taken into custody without incident.   The child was found in his custody, was unharmed and in good health.  The child will be returned to her mother who has full custody.   

Morse is being held at the 4th Street Jail on $18,400 bond for a warrant that was issued on September 9, 2011 for custodial interference.
