Warning: Fire restrictions are in place throughout Arizona

Fires are caused either by lightening or by careless human actions.  The large and devastating fires in Arizona were caused by humans.  As people take summer vacations and plan for July 4^th, we remind people that most jurisdictions have restrictions in place that prohibit camp fires,  smoking, target shooting, and welding.  Check for Fire Restrictions by calling the hotline toll-free at 1-877-864-6985 or go to the Fire Restrictions Website: www.azfireinfo.az.gov

Fireworks are not permitted on public lands throughout the entire state. Sparks from fireworks can cause wildfires in dry vegetation.
