Downed power lines cause road closures in Valley

The Pinal County Sheriff's Office issued the following statement at 10:20 p.m.

Here's our final updated list of closures - some will remain in effect for several days:

 

• Bella Vista Road is closed from Schnepf to Quail Run. SRP states the closure will be in effect for approximately three hours.
• Hunt Highway closures are at Quartzite (Copper Basin), Johnson Ranch Blvd, and Thistle Trail. These three locations will be closed approximately three days while SRP brings in the big cranes to clear away downed lines.

Twenty to thirty poles are down along Desert Willow Blvd between Thistle and Johnson Ranch Blvd. and along Johnson Ranch Blvd. from Judd Road to Past Magma Road.

 

The cleanup process will continue for several days. Drivers are urged to take extra caution as utility crews work along the above mentioned roads.
