DPS still investigating Wednesday's collision of two tankers on I-10

Eastbound and westbound lanes on I-10 in Chandler are now open

Bart Graves, Media Relations Coordinator with the Arizona Department of Public Safety, states that the accident on I-10 Wednesday morning that resulted in the death of a tanker truck driver hauling milk is still under investigation. The identity of that driver and the driver of the fuel tanker truck that was rear-ended have not been released. Eastbound traffic on I-10 was reopened at 2 p.m., but ADOT crews worked through the night repairing the surface of the westbound lanes damaged by the fire that burned for an hour in the incident. Graves said all lanes of traffic were open by 4:30 a.m. Thursday.
