Northbound I-17 reopens at Sedona turnoff
PHOENIX – The Arizona Department of Transportation has reopened northbound Interstate 17 at the Sedona turnoff (State Route 179). ADOT closed the highway near Camp Verde at milepost 298 earlier this morning due to winter weather conditions.
ADOT advises drivers to use caution as temperatures remain near freezing in the Flagstaff area and some snow and ice remain on the roadways in the area.
PHOENIX - Northbound Interstate 17 is closed between the Sedona Turnoff (State Route 179) and Flagstaff this morning due to winter weather conditions, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation. Department of Public Safety and ADOT personnel are turning northbound traffic around at the SR 179 junction.
Drivers with plans to use northbound I-17 to Flagstaff are encouraged to delay their travel until conditions improve and the highway can be reopened. ADOT snowplow crews are working this morning to clear snow and ice from the highway.
