Payson Police arrest burglary suspects

On Dec. 3  at 7:36 p.m. officers with the Payson Police Department, responded to the area of W. Johnson Drive to take a residential burglary report.
The victims said several items of value were missing. Officers located the point of entry into the home and began tracking the suspect through the snow to a nearby residence. Detective McAnerny was called to assist and drafted a search warrant for the suspect’s home at 404 W Johnson.
Upon execution of the search warrant, two subjects were found hiding in the attic under blankets. Officers arrested Darold Lee Leneberg, 28, and Carrissa Edwards, 24. Several items taken from the victim’s residence were located in the attic and other places in the home.
Leneberg was booked into the Gila County jail and charged with Burglary as well as an outstanding warrant. Edwards was charged with Hindering Prosecution, a felony.
