Each February for the last 53 years, the old west is brought to life as an elite group of riders thunder through Arizona. This exciting event is the oldest officially sanctioned Pony Express in the world. Each rider is sworn in as an honorary mail messenger braving weather, terrain, and modern-day obstacles to deliver the United States mail. 


Kids Fishing Festival
March 31
7AM - 5PM

This will be a free fishing day sponsored by the Urban Fishing Program of the Arizona Game and Fish Department in conjunction with Payson Parks, Recreation and Tourism.
The first 300 youngsters to sign up will receive a free hat and other fishing equipment, plus a chance to catch a real trophy rainbow trout.


Eggstravaganza
April 6

Join us for the Eggstravaganza! Co-sponsored by Parks & Rec and Kiwanis, children can collect eggs filled with candy and prizes. This event is for children ages 12 & under Egg times are approximate after the first round. Come early!

Wildlife Fair

Green Valley Park
Join us for a fantastic day at Green Valley Park of wildlife-based activities during the 18th Annual Payson Wildlife Fair, an annual cooperative event between the AZ Game & Fish Department, Mogollon Sporting Association, US Forest Service and Parks & Rec. Department. Parents and kids can fish or free, play games and get a close-up look at wildlife.



Aerofair

Payson Airport
FREE Admission and fly in campground.  7:30-10:30 Pancake Breakfast by Payson Pilots Association.

Adults: $7.00, kids under 10: $4.00

All day-EAA Chapter #810 will be offering airplane rides $25.00 per person.  Experience this elevated view of our magnificent rim country, and the thrill of flying!
