US 60 closed through Salt River Canyon due to rockslide
GLOBE
– A rockslide caused by heavy rain has forced the closure of US 60
through the Salt River Canyon (milepost 289 to 299), according to the
Arizona Department of Transportation. ADOT crews are working to clear
the roadway, but there is no estimate at this time on the duration of
the closure.
ADOT
recommends drivers traveling between Globe and Show Low can use State
Routes 188, 87, and 260 through Payson. Drivers traveling between
Phoenix and Show Low can use State Route 87 and State Route 260 as an
alternative.
