CCSO seeks information on missing Minnesota man

Twenty Seven Year Old Minnesota Man Reported Missing

 

Flagstaff, AZ : Coconino County Sheriff’s Deputies, Detectives and Coconino County Search and Rescue personnel and an Arizona Department of Public Safety Air Rescue Helicopter and crew are attempting to locate twenty-seven year old Shaun Rentz of Minnesota . 

 

According to family members, who reported him missing, Shaun was last seen in Minnesota on Saturday, July 28 2012 at about 6:00 pm.  He was supposed to meet some friends on Saturday evening and did not arrive at the designated meeting location.  Shaun was supposed to move in with some friends in Minnesota on Monday morning and once again he did not show up nor did he call to advise otherwise.  He has not contacted anyone and it appears that his cell phone has been turned off.  Family members contacted officials of the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office and filed a missing person report. 

 

On Monday Forest Service personnel found a 2004 Silver Audi four door sedan parked in the lot of the Oak Creek Canyon Scenic Overview located of off of Highway 89A.  Initially they placed a sticker on the windshield of the vehicle indicating that overnight parking or camping in the lot was prohibited.  On Tuesday they found that the vehicle had not been moved and the sticker was still in place and reported this to the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office.  It was determined that this vehicle belonged to Shaun Rentz.  With the Oak Creek Canyon Vista as a focal point search personnel are conducting intensive ground and air searches
