Search warrant in south Phoenix results in arrest of three -one in U.S. legally, two illegal immigrants

On Thursday September 22, 2011 IIMPACT; a coalition of the Department of Public Safety, the Phoenix Police Department and Homeland Security Investigations (ICE), executed a search warrant on a home in south Phoenix. Francisco Castro, Cintia Corral and Francis Castro were arrested during that warrant and are all related. There pending charges include Aggravated Identity Theft, Forgery and Residential Mortgage Fraud.
The three were able to obtain a fictitious identity from a source in Puerto Rico and subsequently obtained legitimate driver’s licenses in Arizona. The suspects also acquired numerous lines of credit using the fake names to include the current home’s mortgage. The investigation revealed that the youngest, Francis Castro, currently resides in the United States legally on a VISA and the other two currently are in the United States illegally. The investigation is currently on-going and several interviews are pending.
