The Northern Gila County Fair is a "Home Grown Fair" featuring farm animals and exhibits, live entertainment, educational booths, food and fun for everyone! Come see award winning locally grown fruits and vegetables, pies and cakes, flower arrangements, arts and crafts. There'll be a horse show, livestock auction, and small animal exhibit.

Gates open at 11:30 a.m. Event starts at 1 p.m.

Admission $10 Children 5-11 years old, $5, Ages 4 & under free
Jim Barrett Memorial Rodeo September 17 & 18, Friday & Saturday
Payson Events Center
8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
More than 400 high school age cowboys and cowgirls are expected for the opening of the 2011-2012 high school rodeo season. This event is open to the public.
41st Annual Old Time Fiddlers Contest September 23-25, Friday-Sunday
Payson Events Center
The Old Time Fiddlers Contest is open to all ages and includes camping, entertainment, and jam sessions.
Admission is $5 daily. Children 10 and under are free.

Payson High School Auditorium at 7 p.m.
Blue Grass and Old Time Western Music featuring the HillBenders, Desert Sons, Run Boy Run Band with a special appearance by State Champion Fiddler Michael Rolland
