Hunters find human skull by Clear Creek and Bear Canyons
Flagstaff, AZ – Coconino Sheriff’s Deputies and Detectives are attempting to identify human remains that were located on November 27th, 2011 off of Forest Service Road 142D by Clear Creek Canyon and Bear Canyon on Good Enough Ridge in the Blue Ridge area.
Several individuals were hunting in the above described area when they located what has now been confirmed to be a human skull. According to the Coconino County medical Examiner’s Office the skull is most likely that of a white or Hispanic male ranging in age between 40 to 80 years of age.
Coconino County Sheriff’s Detectives are continuing this investigation in an attempt to locate additional human skeletal remains that will assist in identifying this individual. Currently the mode and manner of death are undetermined. Anyone who locates what they believe to be skeletal remains or other human body parts is asked to call the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office at (928) 226-5089.
