Movie Reviewer Andy McKinney says expect quirky twists and odd characters in newest Sherlock Holmes film

"Sherlock Holmes 2: A Game of Shadows" is what we would expect of innovative director Guy Richie

Movie Reviewer Andy McKinney says, "The 2009 version of Sherlock Holmes garnered half a billion dollars worldwide on a budget of $90 million.  With this kind of money to be made, our 2011 sequel was a lead pipe cinch to get the green light.  The same innovative, imaginative director, Guy Richie, returns with much the same cast.  The result is just about what we would expect, be that good or bad.

" I say good.  Richie has built his reputation on quirky plot twists and odd characters.  His credits include Snatch, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels as well as the 2009 Sherlock Holmes.  If you missed the earlier Richie take on Holmes, be warned.  This is much more of an action flick, bordering on comedy in places, than the traditional cerebral Sherlock Holmes movie.  If fast action and crazily manic scenes are not your forte, stay away.  Plenty of us low brows will want to go just to see thing go boom and to watch the blood fly.  I found it exhilarating fun, but some of my pals thought the stunts over done at the expense of a more compelling story."
