Children’s Cinco de Mayo celebration at Payson Public Library
Ole!  Ole!  All kids welcome on Thursday, May 3 from 4 to 5 p.m.  at the Payson Public Library.  Bilingual story, maraca making, cha cha slide, piñata, make and eat mud tacos, and win prizes!  For more information, call Katie or Terri at 474-9260.

The Payson 11th Annual ‘Neath the Rim Studio Tour
Friday, May 4 through Sunday, May 6 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at individual studios throughout Payson and Pine.  Raffle tickets will be available. All artists have an art item to be raffled off on Sunday afternoon. Refreshments will be served. This is a free event. Maps will be available at the Chamber, the Payson Public Library, Down the Street Art Gallery and Artists of the Rim on Main Street.

Cannonball Spree is coming to Payson Saturday, May 5th

The Cannonball is a two day traveling event!  “Rolling party with cars” so to speak.  Based off the Burt Reynolds Cannonball Run movies. .  Expect to meet some of the most adventurous, friendly, fun and “competitive” car enthusiasts out there. Count on seeing the hilarious ECCO crew, Cannonball Girls, Hooters Girls, Cannonballers, media, sponsors, spectators and leaders of each participating city, but an array of themed clubs and movie cars such as “Bruce Wayne” and the Batmobile, several Knight Rider K.I.T.T. cars, Roscoe P. Coltrane’s Dukes of Hazzard Sheriff’s car, The General Lee, Arizona Ghostbusters and their ECTO, Willitmakeit Replica Cannonball ambulance, Back to the Future Delorean, Starcarz A Team Van and so much more!

Cinco de Mayo Festival
Saturday, May 5 from noon until closing at the Oxbow Saloon at 607 W. Main Street in Payson.  Chili and Salsa Contest.  Prizes awarded!  Live music and drink specials.

‘Embrace Your Inner Geek’ 5K and 10K
Saturday, May 5 at Green Valley Park, 600 S. Green Valley Parkway in Payson. Registration fees: $50 for 10K and $30 for 5K; 9 a.m. start time for 10K and 9:15 a.m. for 5K.  Non-sanctioned races to raise funds to support continuing advanced learning opportunities for Payson school children and their teachers.  For more information, contact Deb Rose, Payson Parks & Rec Coordinator, at: (928) 474-5242 ext. 272.
